Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 - HERE WE GO. - Galaxy User Guide

Samsung's timeline usually consists of a Samsung flagship in the first half of the year and a Samsung note in the second half. Samsung's CEO confirmed that there won't be a Galaxy Note 22 Ultra. In the second half of this year. He told reporters at the Mobile World Congress that “Galaxy Note will come out as ultra” going forward, referring to Samsung’s recent Galaxy S22 Ultra. This huge hole left by the note will be filled by their foldable phone line, specifically the Galaxy Z Fold line-up. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the next iteration in the Z Fold Series, and the last time we heard of this handset. We got to know that the Z Fold 4 will debut with a dedicated S-Pen slot, like the S22 Ultra, making it a true evolution of Galaxy Note - lineups.

We have some additional information about the handset originating from Samsung's home country South Korea. First, Samsung will reduce the size of the bezels of both inner and outer displays with the Z Fold 4. The bezels of the Z Fold 3, especially on the cover display, are huge by standards of 2022. It also mentions that the hinge mechanism has been a bit altered,. It will also be thinner than last year. This means the device will be thinner when it is folded. Next, the rear camera design has changed.. We do not have any concrete information whether or not Samsung will include the same camera setup as on the S22 Ultra. I think that they should consider the premium price we are paying.

They can't say space is a problem because Huawei proved that such a camera is indeed possible in a foldable. It also mentions that Samsung will have a second-generation under-display selfie camera on the inner screen. They should improve the quality of selfies, because it makes trash on the Z Fold 3 and less visible in content viewing. Basically the inner and outer display sizes remain the same, which means that Samsung is still not addressing one of the big drawbacks of the Z Fold 3 and it's the narrow cover display. The biggest disadvantage on the Z Fold 3 is the substandard camera setup, but a close second will always be the still-narrow cover.

That outer screen would get wider, like a normal phone display, would mean that the inner screen would become larger, and that would translate to a larger, heavier device. Why not take Oppo's approach and make it a little shorter? Speaking of Oppo, the new foldable phone will almost look identical to the Oppo Find N and there are rumors that the phone will start at $1400. This time Samsung should price the Z Fold 4 sensibly. In the coming days we might see Samsung's mobile CEO terminated. The recent GOS fiasco in which Samsung confined the speed of various games as well as the data breach that exposed several gigabytes of sensitive information online have made some shareholders lose confidence in Roh TM.

We could see some big changes in leadership in the coming days. Some employees want to remain to TM Roh due to the recent success of the Galaxy S22 and Tab S8 lineups. Let me know your thoughts in the comments and as always, I'll see you tomorrow...peace out..
